PAN AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF OPHTHALMOLOGY (PAAO)

The Pan American Association of Ophthalmology (PAAO) is a non-profit organization founded in 1939. The PAAO's mission is the continuing education of ophthalmologists, the prevention of blindness, and the promotion of scientific and cultural exchange among ophthalmologists in the Western Hemisphere and beyond. With members in more than 35 countries, PAAO provides a forum for professionals from around the world to come together and focus on ways to standardize and enhance ophthalmic knowledge and skills to improve patient care.

ARGENTINE COUNCIL OF OPHTHALMOLOGY (CAO)

The Argentine Council of Ophthalmology is the institution that represents the ophthalmologists in the country. It was founded on May 19, 1962 in the city of Rosario, Argentina. Its main objectives are the protection of the interests of the ophthalmologists, the promotion of the professional training of the colleagues and the defense of the visual health of the population. The institution is affiliated to the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) since March 27, 2013. Its headquarters are located at Tte. Gral. Perón 1479, first floor, city of Buenos Aires.

LA RURAL - BUENOS AIRES EXHIBITION CENTER

The PAAO.CAO 2023 Congress will be held at La Rural - Buenos Aires Exhibition Center (Av. Sarmiento 2704, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires). It is Argentina's largest center for trade shows and exhibitions. With easy access by public transportation and underground parking, La Rural is the host of the most important international exhibitions in the country.

The Congress will be held in:

  • Yellow and Green Pavilions: session and exhibition halls.
  • Red Pavilion: Main Auditorium, Opening Ceremony and session rooms.
  • El Central Space: Industry symposiums, social activities.
  • Central Court: social activities.
  • Simultaneous rooms: 14.
  • Commercial exhibition area: 5000 m2.
